Did you know that engaging in moderate physical activity for approximately 150 minutes per week could significantly lower your risk of developing dementia and lower your chance of developing Alzheimer’s Disease.

It’s true. Not only does regular exercise cut the risk of dementia, it might also help to delay progression of the condition in people who begin to develop symptoms. That’s because the protective affect works not only as you are exercising, as the post exercise “positive” effect lasts many years later!

Research shows brisk walking (or any exercise that increases your heart rate) for just over 20 minutes a day was enough to cut the risk.
